We had a wonderful little break from everyday life and spent some time away at Mamaw and Papaw's house.  Spring break was quick, but it felt wonderful to not have to set an alarm everyday to get kids up and ready for school.  The kids are still talking about the grandparents house...good thing they are going back this weekend:)  I have to work and Joe is having a guys weekend filled with a midwest brewery tour!  Cheers to the grandparents for watching the munchens:)

We weren't able to make it up north so see family on Easter, but we did have fun as a family and did a little egg hunt in our yard and went to an awesome church service dressed to celebrate.

    Grace's 5th Birthday

Miss Grace turned 5 this past Sunday!  How time flies.  We celebrated with 2 parties, I know spoiled.  Can't believe my first born is 5 already!  She is very much a girly girl, prefers dresses over pants.  Loves to make up songs and dance to them.  Her favorite day is Tuesday because that is dance class day.  She is a loving big sister and does a great job of including them in her pretend play.  She still loves to sit and cuddle on my lap.  She has a best friend, who she met in preschool this year...her name is Grace also and their birthdays are one day apart.  Pretty cool!  I love watching her interact with her friends, she loves to color them pictures everyday.   Grace also lost her 2nd tooth this past week, both front bottom teeth are now gone:)

We had one here in Indy and invited her friends.  We had cake and pizza at the mall food court, opened gifts, than headed off to Build-a-Bear were 5 of her friends + Grace got to build a bear.  It was something different to do and everyone had a blast.  She requested a Tinkerbell Cake.

    Birthday Girl

Friday we headed up north and had a family party at my parents house.  Ate more cake and got spoiled with more gifts.  All the kids had fun playing at my parents house, they found it was entertaining to take the plastic party cups and drop them from the upstairs banister to the first floor.  Cheap entertainment!

      The proud grandmothers!

Ian had to take his turn for the tiara;)

  • The exciting news around this house is that someone lost her first tooth  Grace has had a loose tooth for a few weeks and finally managed to pull it out last night.  She was super excited to leave it under her pillow for the tooth fairy and was very pleased to wake up too 2 dollar bills in it's place.  Now she wants to go buy something...lol.  Grace is also excited because she is the first in her preschool class to loose one and gets to put a special sticker on the chart there.  Plus she is loving all the extra attention!

All the kids had dentist appointments yesterday.  Grace and Bella sat in the big girl chair and did perfect.  Ian sat in my lap and let them do whatever they needed too.  The dentist thinks Grace will loose 8 teeth this year, all the front ones(4 top and 4 bottom).  Of course, I got the lecture on how my kids are not suppose to suck their thumbs......I KNOW......haven't found that magical button to push to make them stop!  Grace is getting better, plus we just had the talk about her new big girl teeth not coming in correctly if she doesn't stop.

We have spent a few days at that park, who would have thought in February?  The girls also enjoyed a friends birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and they had a blast, Bella keeps asking to go back.

My new favorite picture with the kids, all snuggly after a bath!

  • We had a busy Valentine's Day; between school, work, and dance class, we were constantly on the go that day.  We ended the day getting some ice cream which the kids loved.

Grace is officially enrolled in kindergarten and we are choosing to do full day.  Grace was excited to go see were she will be going to the big school and we got a bus ride.

Not much new on Bella boo, she is constantly saying new words for us.  Still hard to make out sentences when she gets going in a conversation, but at least it's less jargon.  She loved her first dance class and we got to see her in action for a little recital.  She does everything with a smile on and so much energy.  We got lots of video, but they are all too big for this blog to handle...sorry.

Ian is now the proud owner of bilateral ear tubes, his issue was more fluid constantly on the ears and not infections so much.  We enrolled him in 1 day a week at God's Kids for next year.  His vocabulary is getting so big, he cracks me up.

Trying to be good while we watch Grace and Bella dance!

    Snuggle time before bed!

  • Dance and Disney on Ice

The girls back up with Dance last week, we put Bella in the sane class as Grace.  Thankfully this week went better then last week.  Big sister Grace can be a little overwhelmed when little sis is not doing everything they say.  We had a talk about only worrying about ourselves and letting the teachers help Bella.  This week seemed much much better.

I am trying Ian on the potty off and on.  I am not pushing it, but he is constantly asking to go pee pee or asking for his diaper to be changed as soon as he pees.  Hoping it is just around the corner..  Both the girls were 3 when they finally potty trained, so I'm optimistic that he will be sooner:)

We took the girls to see Disney on Ice, Dare to Dream.  It was amazing, I haven't been to an ice show since I was little and it is still magical:)  They performed Princess and the Frog, Cinderella, and Tangled.  Tangled was by far my favorite, but Grace says they all were her favorite part.  Grace was the classic princess girl watching the show, getting up and dancing along with them.  Bella just stood there dazed, wide eyed, open mouth in awe of it all.  I think Bella's favorite part was watching Max the horse, she kept screaming his name.

Waiting for the show to begin

Severely overpriced cotton candy....but so worth it!  ( except for when it ended up on me;)

Lots of flying tricks on Tangled

       Max look so real!

While we where at the show my sister who was watching Ian texted that Ian was vomiting at home, though and behold Bella starts vomiting halfway through Tangled!  Luckily the show was almost over and then we headed home for the not so fun car ride.  I was telling Joe that I missed having a diaper bag, I usually had ready change of clothes and lots of wet wipes.  It was impossible to get cleaned up there!  So far Bella and Ian are the only unfortunate ones.  We were exposed to it on Thursday, so we are crossing our fingers that no one else gets it.  So far this morning both are keeping down clear liquids.
